Anecdote

Still
becoming.

I have been a corporate professional, marketer, entrepreneur and founder. But those are things I have done. They aren't necessarily who I am.

A life in progress

I am increasingly less interested in presenting a finished version of myself. Life has been far more useful as a series of beginnings, interruptions, corrections and discoveries.

01
The years of becoming

Ambition came first.

For years, life was largely measured through work: learning, progressing, building, taking responsibility and trying to become better at what I did.

Marketing became my professional playground. Corporate life taught me scale and systems. Entrepreneurship later taught me uncertainty, ownership and how quickly plans meet reality.

Building & breaking

Ownership changes the questions.

When you build something of your own, there is nowhere to outsource accountability. Success is yours. So are wrong decisions, missed opportunities and the need to begin again.

ABSTRACT / WORK IMAGE

That experience gradually changed how I thought about ownership far beyond business.

When the body spoke

Some signals are difficult to ignore.

120 → 82

Years ago, my weight had reached around 120 kg. Lifestyle-related health conditions had become part of everyday vocabulary. Two slipped-disc episodes added another kind of interruption.

The change that followed wasn't a single heroic moment. It was a long series of choices, mistakes, corrections and repetitions.

04
Finding play again

Health had to make room for life.

PICKLEBALL / LIFE IMAGE

Today I play pickleball regularly and competitively. I also still enjoy food—all kinds of it. For me, a better life could not mean replacing one form of excess with another form of restriction.

That tension—discipline without deprivation—continues to shape how I think about health and fullness.

A different question

What you think, Who runs your life?

One Shivratri, I realised I ran my business well and my own life not at all. The Karma Playbook is a practical, delightfully irreverent guide to running the enterprise called life, with a board of nine figures from Indian tradition and an eleventh chair left empty for everyone your decisions affect.

The Karma Playbook

If you stumble to take the name of the only person who runs your life in a second, even if you succeed.

Now

Still becoming.

Building. Writing. Playing. Eating. Learning. Questioning. Trying to live a fuller life without carrying everything along the way.
